Solar PriMeg was established by Mr. P.S Moodley (known as Peter Moodley) in 1993. With his experience and vast knowledge of working in the hot water industry, Peter Moodley was able to design and manufacture his own brand of solar water heating systems.
Peter knew the task ahead was going to be a difficult one, but through his determination and the utmost confidence in his product, he knew he would excel. Having started on a small scale he rented a mini factory premises in Sea Cow Lake. He soon grew rapidly and purchased his first factory in Rinaldo Industrial Park.
Due to the growth and success of his company Peter Moodley purchased a bigger factory in Southgate, Phoenix. The factory layout was specifically designed to conform to SABS standards. This was accomplished on the May 17th 2010.
Today Peter Moodley is the proud owner of an SABS product and factory.
Peter Moodley’s son Megandren Moodley has recently joined the company. Megandren holds a BSc. Chemical Engineering Degree with vast knowledge of Thermodynamics and Heat Transfer principles and worked across the world in Research and Development Roles. Megandren together with Peter Moodley heads the development of the Cutting Edge Advancements in the Solar Industry. Megandren explains that Solar PriMeg is benchmarking against the World’s Best in developing more efficient solar heating systems at reduced costs to the customers.

Solar PriMeg currently has six major Developments including advanced Stainless Steel design. Solar PriMeg being part of the Eskom Solar Water Heating Program has made people more aware of the benefits of solar water heaters.
Solar PriMeg offers the added value service of helping its customers with the completion of their Eskom Rebate forms, which provides the customer with peace of mind that his/her rebate process, is not unduly delayed. Solar PriMeg’s participation in various lifestyle and home improvement shows, are trying to inform and advise the general public on various methods to conserve energy and save money.
